THE VICTORY HOME
The Victory Home design includes a 20'x24' (480sf) open floor plan with a gable roof, vaulted ceiling, a loft, full bathroom, small kitchen, and an 8' x 20' deck or screened porch. Foundation types include piers, slab on grade, crawlspace, and full basement.
The Victory Home includes many components of a typical house. However, the plans and layout are adaptable for many other purposes, including a tiny home, a workshop or studio, a vacation cabin, a guest house, an AirBNB or rental, or an office and meeting room. Additionally, the beauty of the Victory Home design is that it is easily modified to suit various needs, from interior layout changes, roof design, expanding, or adding on.
INTRODUCING THE FIRST PROJECT IN OUR NEW DESIGN+BUILD SERIES
WHAT WE DO
Our videos will document and show the complete building process, including materials take-offs, site preparations, and construction from beginning to end. We will build this without subcontractors, using standard tools, materials, and building methods. You may also see friends and family join in for fun!
Part of our process will include helping you learn how you can do the design and build modifications yourself. We will work with you to understand the essentials, including design, plan reading, material take-offs, scheduling work, materials selection, and every phase of construction.
Are you interested learning how to reduce your footprint and lower your utility bills by reducing your energy consumption? Join as as we get into the building science of how to design and build a more energy efficient home.

BUILDING PLANS FAQ
Customizing Plans
At this time we only offer customizations for all Premium Annual Supporters, for an additional project fee. Contact for details.
Do the plans include options for ADA accessibility?
Because of the range of possible different requirements, these plans do not have ADA accessibility features. Still, they can be added per request as a customization. This may include interior wall layout, door sizing, bathroom changes, and entrance ramp.
Do the plans come with an Engineering/Architectural Stamp?
Many states require plans to be stamped by a licensed professional as part of the permit approval process. A West Virginia has reviewed our plans licensed engineer, but they are not stamped drawings. If your municipality requires a stamp, you will need to contact a local engineer or architect to have it reviewed and stamped.
What details or drawings do the plans include?
Depending on the level of complexity in the design chosen, generally, they're around 10-15 pages. They contain the following drawings: floor plans, foundation plan, roof framing plan, building elevations, build section(s), non-standard or unique construction details, window and door schedules, interior elevations and details, fastener schedules, and code-compliant power and lighting.
What's not included: Mechanical (HVAC), Plumbing, or Electrical.
What file types do the plans come in?
PDF
SketchUp (Premium Annual Supporters only)
What type of license is included with the purchase?
The single-use building license is for a homeowner or property owner to build a single version of this structure themselves or hire a contractor to complete some or all of the building. The license is not for commercial use, including general contractors, real estate developers, or other business entities. The license does not permit the reselling or repackaging of the plans for reselling in any form.
For us to consider the sale a commercial use of our plans, plans contact us with complete details on the project and intended use.
