MAPPING & MODELING

Accurate 2D maps and 3D models of your site—captured from the air, processed into actionable data. We use photogrammetry and laser scanning to document current conditions, track changes over time, and provide the spatial intelligence you need for planning, grading, and project management.

Ideal for pre-construction surveys, progress monitoring, stockpile volume calculations, cut-and-fill analysis, and boundary verification. Our deliverables integrate with design software and provide measurable, GPS-referenced data you can trust—not guesswork from outdated satellite imagery.

Whether you're breaking ground on a new build, managing an active site, or assessing land for development, we deliver the clarity you need to make informed decisions.

INSPECTIONS & SITE SURVEYS

Visual access to roofs, facades, bridges, towers, and other hard-to-reach structures—without scaffolding, lifts, or putting personnel at risk. We document conditions, identify defects, and provide high-resolution imagery and thermal data for maintenance planning, insurance claims, and compliance reporting.

For active construction sites, we deliver progress documentation, layout verification, and safety monitoring. Regular flyovers give project managers a clear, current view of site conditions, helping you catch issues early, verify contractor work, and keep stakeholders informed.
Faster than traditional methods. Safer for your crew. More thorough than ground-level walkthroughs.

DEER, GAME, & LOST PET RECOVERY

Deer Recovery
Thermal-equipped drones cover large areas quickly to locate wounded deer in dense vegetation or low light. We perform systematic grid searches and provide GPS coordinates for recovery. Most effective in cooler weather when heat signatures stand out clearly against the background.

Lost Pet Recovery
Thermal imaging helps locate dogs, cats, horses, livestock, and other warm-blooded animals in difficult terrain or thick cover where ground searches fall short. We work in both rural and urban environments and understand the urgency of reuniting you with a lost animal.

Herd Analysis
Aerial surveys for deer and livestock populations. We provide accurate counts, distribution maps, and high-resolution imagery to support land management, hunting lease planning, and wildlife conservation. Data-driven insights for managing your property or herd with confidence.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE SERVICES

Sky Scout maintains trained, equipped drone pilots who support local fire and rescue departments during emergencies. We operate under their direction for fires, search and rescue, hazmat response, and disaster assessment. These capabilities are provided on a volunteer basis to support our community's first responders.

SEARCH & RESCUE

Today, search and rescue (SAR) drones are essential tools for emergency response teams around the world. SAR drones offer a bird’s-eye view that is invaluable during emergencies. They can quickly cover large areas, reach inaccessible locations, and provide crucial information that guides search and rescue efforts. By using both visual and thermal data, these drones offer real-time aerial views to locate missing persons and assess situations in disaster areas.

Aerial thermal imaging is particularly useful in search operations, as thermal cameras can detect heat signatures from individuals, even in low-visibility conditions such as smoke, fog, or darkness. Additionally, SAR drones can be used to deliver emergency supplies, transporting medical supplies, food, and other essentials to people stranded in remote or hazardous areas. They also provide real-time damage assessments, delivering detailed imagery to help evaluate destruction and guide response efforts during natural disasters or accidents.

WILDLAND & STRUCTURAL FIRE SUPPORT

Drones are becoming an essential tool in firefighting operations, significantly enhancing various aspects of fire management. One of their primary functions is to provide real-time situational awareness, which helps incident commanders make informed decisions. Drones can quickly map the fire perimeter, allowing teams to track the fire’s progression and understand its potential impact on surrounding areas.

Equipped with advanced thermal imaging cameras, drones can detect heat signatures, enabling them to identify hot spots where the fire may reignite. This capability is particularly useful in locating people and animals trapped in dangerous situations, allowing firefighters to prioritize rescue efforts and respond more effectively.

Moreover, drones play a crucial role in mitigating the spread of fires. Spot fires, which are ignited when embers from the main blaze are carried aloft by winds and subsequently fall to the ground, can pose significant challenges. These small, rebellious fires are difficult to detect, especially in areas where smoke reduces visibility. Often, they can emerge in remote or hazardous locations that are challenging for firefighters to access, such as steep slopes, canyons, or dense forests.

By employing drones in these operations, firefighting teams can enhance their ability to identify and address spot fires early on, ultimately reducing the risk of larger, uncontrolled blazes and improving overall safety for both firefighters and the public.

Design-Build-Live

Architectural Design | Site Modeling | Stone Work | New Home Construction

Our sister company transforms aerial survey data into architectural models, site plans, and design visualizations for land development and new construction projects. Sky Scout provides the aerial imagery—detailed terrain mapping, point clouds, and 3D models—and Design-Build-Live uses that data to create buildable designs aligned with your vision.

This integrated workflow is especially valuable for clients acquiring land, planning custom homes, or evaluating development feasibility. By combining accurate site intelligence with design expertise, we help you move from raw land to construction-ready plans with confidence—reducing surprises, optimizing site layout, and streamlining permitting and approvals.

VOLUNTEER BASED PARTNERSHIPS

Hampshire County & Capon Springs Volunteer Fire & Rescue

Sky Scout pilots volunteer with CSVFR and neighboring departments to provide drone support during emergency operations. We're working with CSVFR to establish a UAS Task Force—training volunteer pilots to deploy effectively for search and rescue, wildland and structural fire support, and disaster response.

Our pilots operate under the Incident Command System, providing real-time aerial intelligence, thermal imaging for victim location, fire perimeter mapping, and damage assessment. This capability enhances responder safety by surveying hazardous areas remotely and improves situational awareness for incident commanders.

All training and deployment is conducted on a volunteer basis as a public service to our community.

West Virginia Division of Forestry

Volunteers from local fire departments work with WVDOF under a Unified Command structure to support wildland fire suppression and prescribed burn operations. Our trained and certified pilots provide aerial reconnaissance, hotspot detection, and real-time fire behavior monitoring to supplement WVDOF resources during active incidents.
